Mutual Aid to Hampton Bays for a Brush Fire

On Saturday June 30, 2018 at approximately 3:15pm the department was activated for a Mutual Aid to the Hampton Bays Fire Department who were on scene extinguishing multiple brush fires in the vicinity of 21 Hildreth Road. Westhampton was requested to stand-by their headquarters with an Engine and a Brush truck also assisted at the scene.

Engine 782 responded to their headquarters and stood by incase of any additional alarms. The engine responded to a fuel spill at a gas station on West Montauk Highway. Brush truck 7-8-12 was immediately put to work helping contain and extinguish the fire.

All Westhampton Beach units returned to service just after 6pm.
